Join childbirth educator Nadine Richardson (founder of She Births) and poet and artist Jessica Chapnik Kahn as they dive into an intimate conversation about the power and mystery of Mother, childbirth and rebirth. Jessica will be reading poems from her poetry book MADRE, a raw collection of poems and drawings that honour the mystical unfolding of becoming a mother.

Jessica Chapnik Kahn

Jessica Chapnik Kahn is an Argentinian Australian singer-songwriter, actress and writer who has worked with some of Australia’s finest artists including Sarah Blasko, Lior, Old Man River and Craig Nichols from The Vines. Jessica released 2 albums of her own solo music under the moniker, Appleonia. She is the author of children’s book Lenny and the Ants and poetry collection MADRE, and co-author of the biography A Repurposed Life, which was nominated for an ABIA award for biography book of the year 2021.

Nadine Richardson

Nadine Richardson is CEO of The Birthing Institute and founder of She Births®, the world’s only scientifically verified antenatal education program. She has been a doula, teacher and trainer in yoga, childbirth and parenting for over 20 years leading thousands of families on a journey towards strength, community and well being. She lectures and runs workshops for midwives, doctors and health professionals as well as speaking within the corporate space about the importance of pregnancy/parental rights and birth preparation.
